Out for a little play time with mom
Molly and little orange went out for some play time.
All puppies will have their dew claws removed and have their first series of necessary shots prior to adoption. Our pups are family raised and socialized by our 2 children and their friends. We follow the early neurological stimulation "Super Dog" program to help promote development and socialization. In addition, they will be exposed to water, loud noises and birds prior to sale.
Puppies are guaranteed for 26 months on hips and eyes and come with the necessary paperwork for AKC registration.

Update 6/11/2012 - 9:00 pm
Little orange looks to be completely healed from his prolapse and shows no signs that it ever happened. We'll be getting a vet exam in the next couple of days to provide when he's adopted. He's also showing signs of being a great retriever. He's fetching his stuffed goose for us and bringing it right back. He's taking right after his dad in that regard! I think he's going to end up looking a lot like Max, too.
Here he is at 9 weeks old...
He's a playful little guy
It's kind of hard to tell from these pictures but he's a medium dark yellow in color just like Max.
Update 5/31/2012 - 9:00 pm
We have 1 male remaining available (orange collar) due to a cancellation resulting from a medical issue. On the day he was scheduled to be adopted, the little orange collar male developed a minor rectal prolapse. According to our vet no surgery was required and he looks to be in tip top shape now. He was not a very happy camper for about 8 hours but it didn't take too long for him to get back to being his normal mischievous self.
If you are looking for a puppy that will make a good hunting partner this little guy may be for you. He's inquisitive, outgoing, friendly and playful. When introduced to the bird he showed as much interest as any of the pups in this litter. Give us a call if you think he might be for you. We'd be happy to discuss his medical status and temperament in more detail. We're happy to arrange a visit and can schedule an appointment with our vet to discuss his condition if you wish. His price is reduced to $700.
Update 5/13/2012 - 2:00 pm
I shot this video last week, just before they were weaned off of Molly. Molly is an incredibly patient mother but even she gets a bit tired of it all when they get to be this big. This was her last day nursing them.
Update 5/13/2012 - 1:30 pm
It was such a nice day yesterday for their introduction to water. Even though they are weaned Molly was able to offer them a great incentive to "jump right in." Works every time...
Update 4/17/2012 - 10:20 pm
It's been a busy couple of weeks to say the least. The 8 pups are all doing great. Molly is, too. Their eyes have just opened and they are trying to stand now (with little success, though). They'll be getting their first dose of wormer tomorrow. With the last male being claimed the litter is now all sold. Congrats to Amanda & Justin!
Update 4/5/2012 - 6:20 am
Wow. Much to our surprise little rainbow didn't make it through the night. It was a very sudden and unexpected decline. There must have been physiological issues that weren't apparent during her exam. Everyone else is good and will be off to the vet again today for dew claws.
Update 4/4/2012 - 9:20 pm
We ended up with a significant tilt toward males in this batch (6 males and 3 females). One of the little girls is considerably smaller than the rest of the litter (rainbow). In fact, I've never seen a smaller pup when born. She is a fighter and we're working very hard to help her along. Barring anything unexpected she should be just fine. You can see just how tiny she is in the middle of the picture below.
