Boy, that was a longer delivery process than typical! Just when we thought for sure she was finished another pup would decide it was time to make a grand entrance! 12 hours is about normal but this time a full 27 hours elapsed between the first and last pup! Misty is once again the proud mama of 11 healthy and hungry pups. We're a bit heavy on the males in this batch (7 of 11). Mom and pups are making a trip to the vet tomorrow for checkups and dew claws. It will be a busy day as we're hoping to get pictures posted before the trip, too.

Whew... it's been a couple busy weeks but things are starting to settle down (hopefully)! The pups have completed their super puppy training and as you can see from their pictures have their eyes open (some of the time anyway). They are still a very sleepy lot! We have a bit of variation in size with this litter. It's hard to say whether that will hold going forward but the yellow female with the pink collar is on the small side and the black male with the orange collar is significantly smaller than the rest.

Since it turned into such a beautiful afternoon we were able to get Misty's litter outside for their introduction to water. Let's just say that none showed any hesitation at all to the water. In fact, with Molly's help we couldn't hardly keep them out! Now that's what I call positive reinforcement...
All puppies have their dew claws removed and have their first series of necessary shots prior to adoption. Our pups are family raised and socialized by our 2 children and their friends. We follow the early neurological stimulation "Super Dog" program to help promote development and socialization. In addition, they will be exposed to water, loud noises and birds prior to sale.
Puppies are guaranteed for 26 months on hips and eyes and come with the necessary paperwork for AKC registration.
